To qualify for SSS program services a student must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States, admitted/registered at Utah Tech University as a full-time student, demonstrate an academic need for services as defined by the institution, have earned fewer than 40 college credits, and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- FIRST GENERATION-- Neither parent received a four-year college degree before the student reached 18-years old;
- LOW INCOME STUDENT-- Receiving financial aid such as a PELL grant or have a household taxable income that meets federal guidelines;
- DISABILITY-- Student a learning or physical disability that is documented through the UT Disability Resource Center.
